We do not disclose information merely because someone claims to know you or the animal. We may verify identity and authority before releasing records or completing a handoff.
Sale, targeted advertising, and opt-out signals
Critter Car does not sell personal data for money. Some website technologies or service providers may process data for analytics, advertising, measurement, or cross-context functions that can be regulated differently under applicable law. Where a law applies to our operations, we honor qualifying privacy requests and recognized opt-out preference signals as required.
Cookies and external services
Our websites and connected services may use cookies, embedded media, analytics, spam protection, form tools, maps, payment systems, social platforms, and other third-party technologies. Those providers may collect information under their own policies. Browser settings and privacy tools may allow you to limit certain cookies, though doing so can affect website functions.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for transportation, care coordination, client service, safety, accounting, tax, insurance, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and legitimate operational purposes. Retention periods vary by record type.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect information. No internet transmission, email, text, website, cloud platform, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on applicable law and our relationship with you, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal data, or object to certain processing. Rights can be subject to identity verification, legal exceptions, record-retention duties, and thresholds that determine whether a particular privacy law applies.
Send a request to admin@catsinthecity.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Describe the request and the contact information previously used with us. We may request reasonable verification before acting.
Children
Our website and transportation-request services are intended for adults arranging care for animals. We do not knowingly seek personal data directly from children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should contact us if a child submitted information without authorization.
Third-party links and connected providers
Critter Car pages link to Cats in the City, airlines, airports, veterinary practices, maps, social media, and other external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. A link does not mean Critter Car controls the external service.
Policy changes and contact
We may revise this policy as services, technologies, and legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may be communicated through the website or another reasonable method.
